Summary
Funding to build eco-tourism facilities in remote areas of Jordan (Azraq and Wadi Feynan) and to create employment opportunities for local residents (particularly women) in the tourism and handicrafts sectors. The Amman Nature Center (Wild Jordan) was also built with USAID funds to provide an urban outlet for rural handicrafts and to promote environmental awareness among Jordanians.
